MainStreetXpress 36170 Internetworking Service Card

The MainStreetXpress 36170 Internetworking Service Card (ISC) is an IP packet-forwarding device -- called a service point -- that is part of a switched routing architecture. The ISC forwards IP traffic from interface cards on the MainStreetXpress 36170 Multiservices Switch to a switching routing fabric. Installed in the 36170 peripheral shelf, it provides high speed, low latency, policy-based forwarding of IP packets for carrier scale WAN (wide area network) services.
