WavePLEX Spread Spectrum

The WavePLEX Spread Spectrum is a family of digital microwave radios that are ideal for temporary or permanent “last mile” and PCS site connections. The WavePLEX Spread Spectrum family includes a full suite of T1/E1 and fractional capacity spread spectrum radios that operate in the license-free 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz frequency bands.

The WavePLEX Spread Spectrum family supports wireless link distances from less than one mile to more than 50 miles line-of-sight, and can be installed without acquiring user licenses or frequency coordination. The primary advantages of WavePlex Spread Spectrum radios over classic, licensed microwave radios are:

Faster installation because there’s no waiting for licenses or frequency coordination
Lower cost because of low equipment costs and no licensing costs
More suitable for lower-capacity applications—usually no more than 4 T1 capacity
